UK Shmookay!

Today was my first day at work in the UK and although the sky was clear, it soon turned into a thundery, blustery, cold winter day (thank god I got my tan on yesterday!).

PS - these are views from Carlo and my hotel rooms!!

Not sure how it usually will work, but this morning I hitched a ride to the studio with Carlo and Pam's driver (they are in accounting). The pick up was at 8am which was nice, as it was a little later than my usual start in the US (though still seemed early for some reason??!!).

Bob is their driver and a really nice guy. Not sure what radio station he had on, but I busted out my Karaoke and I am sure will not be invited back to get a ride with them tomorrow! UPDATE - I am riding with them again tomorrow morning!

At work, Stacey, Jordan and I share an office space. It is really large compared to what we have in the US and quite nice. On the other hand, the rumors were true that the UK has no craft service and boy oh boy, a few issues with cleanliness - I have never seen such a scary kitchen (not to mention dishes). I shall be going out to get my own tomorrow which I will keep in my desk (will try to snap some spy pics tomorrow - had to get over my shock first)!

Apart from that there is not much news - everyone is being super worker bee's and I am most impressed with the efficiency and kindness of everyone here in the UK. I will try to snap pics of everyone...

I left work at around 7:30pm tonight with Stacey and Jordan's driver (they are short on drivers at the moment so I am like the ugly step sister who has to catch rides with others). The car/ van/ soccer mum station wagon that we drove back in was kind of cool as it had this great panoramic sunroof.

Once back at the hotel, Stacey moved to her own room (that's right - the honeymoon is over and Stacey and I are now divorced)! Clearly an amicable one though, as Carlo, Stacey and I hoofed it to Safeway (a local supermarket) to get some provisions and to get some damn Claratin for me as I think I am allergic to everything here.

I had forgotten that the UK has some amazing/ gross chip flavors...

Carlo and I went with crackers, cheese and pickles and munched them down back at the hotel.

Sadly that is the excitement for today. Will hopefully have more news tomorrow!

If the Clartine doesn't work ask Hana to send some of our wizzbang Mozzillon.... but be sure to only take it just before going to bed ( it will also ensure a good nights sleep! Take care my dear, love as always, Mem oxoxoxoxxoxxoxoxo
